A beautifully produced and richly illustrated book by award-winning artist Brian Kesinger that showcases the day-to-day adventures of independent girl-about-town Victoria Prismall and her pet octopus Otto. Thirty panoramic illustrations chronicle the duos home and social activities that include (among other things) bathing, biking, dating, cooking, playing croquet, and pumpkin carving. An Octo-Victorian classic that vividly illustrates the "dos" and "donts" of living with a large land octopus. An exquisite volume for lovers of books, art, and pets.

This eBook version features a three-dimensional "AereoScopic" transition effect which harkens back to the days of the stereoscope, which no well-appointed parlour would have been without.

Pros and cons of Walking Your Octopus app for iPhone and iPad

Walking Your Octopus app good for

As in the title, a beautiful story told by an enchanting voice of the female gender and illustrated by gorgeous animated artworks... I highly recommend it for those seeking a refreshing and soothing app; well worth its price ! :)
This is an imaginative short illustrated book that has been turned into a wonderful audio visual book application. Excellently narrated. Page turning effects and background music add to the ambience.
Brian Kesingers beautiful illustrated book has been given special life in this perfectly-narrated, charming animated app version. Solo or as a treat for one who already owns the book, this is a must for all who live in imagination or dream of a world where one could have a trained cephalopod as a pet.

Some bad moments

What a lovely accompaniment to his book! To hear Victorias voice talking about her beloved friend is a joy. Slight suggested nudity is perfectly within context in the bath or dressing, and all "naughty bits" covered, I find it appropriate for younger viewers. Smooth animation, vintage background music, and lovely illustrations.
The animation is amazing. Now top it off with a great story, perfect music, and spot on narration. Love it!
So awesome! The stereoscopic effect and narration make it so entertaining! :)
Kesingers work really comes to life in this app! Its beautiful and has a lovely vintage feel with the page transitions. Fun for all ages.
This book has been lovingly turned into an app. The artistry of the pages turning is awesome. The narration is spot on. And the illustrations are all you could want and more! Please give us more!
I am a huge fan of Brians work and I am very very glad that his book is in app form! The music, the narration, the colour palettes, every bit of it is fantastic. The animation as well is remarkable and everything just runs so smoothly. Best $5 I have ever spent!
